I would like to share the news that Island Packet Yachts has introduced a new lifestyle launch - the Island Packet L24 Family Launch Series. They're available in three propulsion choices; Electric Steerable Pod Drive, Yanmar Diesel or Outboard models.
My most favorite, since I've owned electric boats since 1998 is obvious. However, let me assure you that electric propulsion has technically advanced with brushless motors that are more powerful, better batteries for longer run times,…Continue

I GOT TIRED OF LIVING IN THE OLD PEOPLES HOME, SO I BOUGHT ANOTHER BOAT. NOW, THIS IS NOT A NEW BOAT, BUT A BOAT THAT WAS RID HARD AND PUT AWAY WET. THE BOAT IS IN HUSTON FLORIDA; I NEED A MARINA, LIKE IN THE, CENTRAL WEST ARIA, TO PULL IT AND LET ME WORK ON IT. IF POSSIBLE, LET ME STAY ON IT LONG ENOUGH TO CLEAN AND PAINT THE BOTTOM. I ALSO NEED TO GO OVER THE BOAT JUST TO BE SURE IT WILL MAKE IT TO THE KEYS. REMEMBER I SAID I WAS OLD. IT WOULD TAKE ME FOREVER,…Continue
I have finally found a site offering "free" information on marina fuel pricing which I've shown below.

Hey I want to sail to Key West this summer.. anyone have a good route and great places to anchor or stop on the way.. Id appreciate any suggestions of places to go and places to stay away from... Also time required to get there
You are right, sooner or later you will need assistance on the water. I have TowBoatUS.com and have used them 3 times in 4 years thus more than paying for the memberships dues.
Without the membership the assistance could have cost me hundreds of dollars for each time I needed help. Good Fishing, Mike

I am new to boating in Florida (previously owned a boat in NC). Sooner or later I will probably experience engine/battery problems on the water. What is the general advice for this here in Sarasota/Bradenton? Emergency numbers? Sea-tow service? panic?
I am new to New Port Richey and am looking for ideas for pleasure boating with my wife on some Islands and looking for someone to go fishing with. I have a 27' light cruiser
